The JCF Legal Clinic offers eligible individuals and organizations services ranging from the provision of legal advice and information to workshops, training, mediation, and representation on a wide variety of civil legal matters and disputes such as:
· Housing, including landlord-tenant, evictions, tenant associations, housing code violations, tenant petitions, public housing, vouchers, foreclosures, and shelter complaints
· Employment, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, benefits, workers’ comp, and unemployment insurance
· Family, including custody, visitation, child support, guardian ad litem, simple divorce, separation, or annulment, and adoption
· Public Benefits, including SSI, SSDI, food stamps, TANF, Medicaid, and Medicare
· Wills and Trusts, including estates, probate, powers of attorney, and guardianship
· Immigration, including detention, deportation, removal, withholding, and asylum
· Domestic Violence, including civil protection and temporary restraining orders
· Consumer, including predatory lending, fraud, debt collection, and bankruptcy
· Health and Disability, including health insurance, reasonable accommodations, and discrimination
